Biography

Augustin Trepšić received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, in 1994. He received his Masters in Computer Science from George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia, in January 1996, and his Ph.D. from George Mason University in 1998. He has been employed at the Naval Research Laboratory, Washington D.C, since 1995. His current interests are evolutionary algorithms, recombination and mutation theory, self-adaptive recombination, efficient speciation methods, Markov chain analyses, neural networks, simulated annealing, machine learning, operations research, Boolean satisfiability, No-Free-Lunch theorems, and 1968-1972 Chevy Novas. He was the moderator of GA-List from 1994 to 1997.
